Friday 6th October – walking ***** walk – sunny

It’s my Birthday – 64 only another year till the pension !!! where did those years go???

What a top day :) After two hectic days windsurfing the plan was to take it a bit easier, it didn’t work out that way ! Had a quick walk along the prom at Felixstowe in stunning sunny warm weather then did some shopping including getting the £10 meal deal from M & S a present from an old friend :)
As our son Rob had sent us a voucher for a pub meal we drove to Hemley Church and did the pretty walk across farmland with stunning river views to the Maybush Pub at Waldringfield :) With a harvest moon the very high tides continue after yesterday’s mega high at Bradfield today was also very high on the Deben with all the marshes covered! Then when we reached the small sailing club at Waldringfield the dinghies in the hardstand were standing in water and the footpath was covered too! We had to take the high back path to the pub. The carpark was packed but after ordering, fish and chips for me and pulled pork burger for Mag we found a water front table outside with top river views:) We enjoyed a great lunch while watching the river action including a couple in a canoe and four stand up paddle boarders returning from a trip to Woodbridge:) Feeling refreshed we decided to do the loop around the village before returning to the van. I was absolutely knackered and was glad to see the van, even letting Mag drive home! – top day. Hope to go windsurfing tomorrow if everyone can make up their minds where to go – West Mersea, Bradfield, Levington, The Fludgers and Point Clear ??? Decisions decisions – I hope to go to Point Clear if the wind stays away from north!
